Ativia's Beautiful Shelves is KPW's 4th full length LP. "A.T.I.V.I.A." is an acronym for Art That Is Visual In Audio, and it is the name for a device that the listener virtually places over his/her face and wears to interpret the activities occurring between items that rest on a series of shelves; these shelves and the walls from which they are suspended represent the happenings within our society, largely consistent of systematic oppression and injustice. Other activities represented include heartbreak and recovery, ambition and resultant success, drive/inspiration, and other miscellaneous occurrences. Once the device is removed, the choice is that of the observer to use these newly attained perspectives wisely.
